My stomach was Growling as if there was a huge injustice being done to it, In spite it knowing the fact that food will come down its way , there was no stop to the distressed signals it gave out, so I walked down the street.. putting on my favourite playlist , looking at the strange faces trying to blend in with the crowd and find some friendly faces.
It is so strange when you meet people and they forget to smile, At times they don't want to even meet their eyes with you. Into the streets of lifeless figures I walked. Of a right and cross the road, there stood a store which caught my stomach's eye. Little did I know that there is more to it than meets my eye.
So, there it was an eatery, that smelled like somebody is going to torch the place off, I knew it that something red hot is going to be served and I was mentally preparing my menu, when suddenly I lost my thoughts as the lady at the counter sang a song "Hiiee there , How are you ? ".
My friends say that the initial expression of mine were very close to a retarded person who just forgot to spell the word FOOD. A lot of effort was required by my stomach to actually put-forth a menu in front of the girl on the other side, and towards the end of the short conversation, I momentarily paused... just forgot how to end it... My mind happened to have pulled the strings at me and left me to look more stupid than I already was making up there. What happened next can wait to be told another time ... But ,
This was a good change from the notions that I carried during the initial days of city life. Later on I have realized that even though these words meant nothing for the people who said it more often here , it did still carry a tone that would sooth anyone at the other side. I have literately walked to that store many-er times, just to get a warm greeting, which made my Monday blues disappear and breathed life into me everytime I felt detached from people around.
So let the greeting be shared... "Hi there, How are you ? "...
